Mariam Nassar, PhD student at our department, was awarded the Best Master Thesis Price 2018 by the specialist group “Women and Computer Science” of the German Society of Computer Science. In her thesis, Mariam presented a novel approach for the White Blood Cell (WBC) count based on image classification using machine learning (ML). The award ceremony will take place during the annual meeting of the section "Women and Computer Science"on May 11, 2019 in Bremerhaven.
