Aiming for a leading academic position, and seeking an environment in which to develop towards this goal? The Dept of Systems Biology & Bioinformatics provides a supportive, international and interdisciplinary environment. The post is University funded (100%, E13 salary scale, depending on age and experience), which means that there is a teaching obligation but that the research focus can also be chosen freely. Ideally, we are looking for someone with a strong background in data analysis and mathematical modelling and some experience with the German academic system. While you are given the opportunity to develop your own research team and focus, most of us work together, and support each other across project boundaries. Areas of interest may include machine learning, or network modelling.
